After solving all internal issues of the transmission and overdrive, let's put them together, rebuild the shifter mechanism and last but not least test the unit... Exciting!

Happy new year!
I seem to recall a clip under the shifter ball as well. I can have a look if you need.

I made those bushings out of a round piece of nylon and two fender washers. I had to 'machine' the nylon to the correct bore size and outer diameter (chucked up in my drill and reshaped with my grinder and then sandpaper), the holes in the washers drilled out large enough for the metal sleeve. Gotta use what you have 😂

In the U.K. we call (that little metal key that locks the cam) a Woodruff key.

Elin, 11:37 mins into this video you mention you could not find an oil seal for early Triumph bell housing Seal upgrade idea. On my 69 Spit it seems to be 15/16" or .9375" ID, there appears to be many on the US market. I like your idea but wondering what I'm missing ? I also contemplated using a sealed bearing on the output shaft but that has proven harder to find with the circlip that restricts its depth.
