I'm glad to see your still working on Kate. all them spot welds takes time but it doesn't take as much as stitch welds. just seal it from behind and you'll be golden. it may not be the gasket that is leaking on the tank. check around where the connection to the sending unit terminal is. i had a leak there on mine and took me a while to track it down I kept thinking it was the gasket and it wasn't. just a thought for ya. have a good one and looking forward to hearing the carbs running.

The welding is coming along a treat, you are learning fast.
Just been playing with my welder today, I'm no expert but it's fun sticking scrap together.

Looking forward to following this series mate. I’ve got a mk 3 3litre ghia thats been in my shed for over twenty years now and a mk1 3000e crayford for even longer!!! This may motivate me to get started...😃👍👍👍

Its all good progress mate, bit by bit, weld by weld, you will turn the corner soon and then really crack on with the more fun parts of the rebuild, keep at it and take it easy.
Best wishes
Andrew
