I have discovered that not only do you get back pain but these long muscles extend to the cervical region causing headaches. Abnormal breathing, clenching, breath holding, ab clenching causes chronic headaches. Hidden cause of many problems. Well spotted 👍🏻

The second option you gave on bending back somehow worked automatically, I was so shocked. When I searched Google it said I had cancer, anyways thank you! : )

It’s so simple! Thank you. I was panicking when I woke up dizzy and having pain in my back when I breathe. Google said I have lung cancer and was ready to text my ex. I’m glad I found you before I went on spiral mode. 😂 you’re a life and “do not contact ex” saver. ❤

I NEVER though that my pain would be coming from the way I’m breathing… started focusing on breathing with my diaphragm compared to back and this pain I’ve had for YEARS when I breathe is gone! I thought I was going to have to live with this… thank you so much

Thanks! I woke up with back pain and I was hurting so bad when breathing deep or yawning. Focusing on not using the back muscle to breathe really helps. Thanks so much!

Great video I honestly didn't know what it was at first because it hurt so bad when I breathe in it was very painful and sore but I had been bending down and picking up equipment out of there boxes and once I got home my back was killing me and seen this video and checked with my hands on my back and breathing in I could feel the muscles like you said and I did feel the muscles moving when I tried deep breath so thank you so much helped my pain go away

I have upper pain on my back I hope it’s muscle pain and not spine. I’ve had this pain for 9 months I know I should get it checked out but I fear having something bad. But it’s hurts when I take a deep breath. Also when I try to squeeze my shoulder blades together as a stretch I get pain on the left side of my back and I have trouble determining if it’s spin pain or muscle pain. I’ve also noticed when laying down my upper body naturally shifts to the left while my waist and down stays straight. I got this pain after working landscape labor from lifting heavy wheelbarrows or bins full of grass to dump in the trailer.

I have the same problem. As a construction worker we lift some heavy objects from time to time. I was being cocky and lifted a 130 lb steel H pile by myself and the pain didn't hit until a few days later. Now when breathing or coughing it hurts especially when standing up.

I did some heavy weighted bar squats two days ago and for the past two days I’ve been experiencing this type of pain in my upper back when breathing deeply. The muscles around the area are also sore. This pain is most likely due to poor form while lifting, correct? I’ve never had pain while breathing deeply before, so I am assuming it is weightlifting related

So my upper back hurts only on the left side. Do you think working out can cause that? And only hurts when I take a deep breath in. Other than that I don’t have no other problems such as breathing problems or any other conditions

I had a back lumber/lower back injury and started practicing Wim Hof Breathing. I think I take it too far, sometimes laying down on my massage table and doing up to an hour of hardcore Wim Hof breath work. I find that my body really tightens up, my lower back gets stiff and starts having bad pain. I'm pretty sure its been adding to the injury. Great video, its still hard to pinpoint my challenge though. Any ideas on a good breathing coach?

I’ve had mid back pain but when doing hypopresives in standing position. Any clue on it? Could it be related?

I haven’t checked out quite ALL of your videos yet, but I’m working through them. 😉 So, if this is addressed in one or more of them, apologies, and could you point me in that video’s direction, but, I have a question;
I don’t have asthma, (which apparently can often be the cause of what I’m experiencing) but I have a difficult time breathing OUT all the way. Breathing IN completely is often difficult as well, but I’m addressing my improper breathing patterns for this…. But as I’m working on this, the stubborn inability to exhale fully remains. My exhale only gets to a certain point, and then it’s like the muscles just…. Forget how to complete the task, if that makes sense? I have to engage my TA and Rec Abs sometimes in order to push the rest of the air out, but this makes me nervous; I know that sometimes, in order to “re-wire” a movement pattern into the correct function, it takes engaging muscles we’re not used to using, so it feels like it takes far more effort than it should until it becomes second nature, BUT! - I don’t want to be training further incorrect firing patterns if this is not the proper way to address the issue. Any tips, suggestions, advice?
Thank you so much for your time, and sharing this amazing information!

About 3 days ago me and another nurse picked up a patient multiple times due to her combative & confused behavior. ever since then about a day after i woke up with a sharp pain in my back when i take a deep breath. it hurts to the point where it’ll feel like my body is having a spasm as well. i cant even lay on my side at night it will hurt. unless i take pain meds ill be okay for a couple hours but i don’t want to become dependent on pain meds. i can only take a deep breath when i’m laying on my back flat.. what do you think this is?
