Banger for sure. Looked safe to be at regular speed and confirmed in slow motion. But we have a judgment call to make that close. Umpire on the field saw it different.

If he had a better slide, he might have gotten the call. Instead of sliding into the edge of the bag, he lifted his leg and touched the top.

The runner would have been safe in my opinion the play was only that close because of a poor throw which pulled the fielder off the base.

That is what umpires call a BANG BANG play. The base umpire really should have SOLD the call with a big PUNCH OUT!
