safe from this angle looks like his foot comes off the bag just before the catch!

Bad call the 1st basemen caught the ball and had his foot on the base before the batter-runner touched- ranacross the base.

If i was the ump, from that distance.. I'd say he's safe.

It looks like his foot came off the bag before he caught the ball but I would say it is a good call!

Out by a mile if now I’m saying maybe if the first baseman had his foot on the bag when he caught the ball so i agree it’s a tough call

Nah he is definitely safe the first baseman’s foot came off the bag if it didn’t he would have been out.

Hard to tell from this distance! Can't tell if his foot was on the bag.

From this angle he looks safe by a bit😅 but it also looks like his toe was on the bag when he caught it but took it off after. But I think he’s safe💀😐

From here it looks close but safe but I’m sure if you had mlb cameras then he’d be out

Out. Neighborhood rule should apply if it's not totally clear he was off and if he had any contact w the ball in his glove and touched the base, out anyway.

I have the toe still on the bag from this angle. Looks like he does come off briefly but pushes back before the runner gets to the bag. So based on what I see with the available angle in this video, I have an out.

A couple of observations.

1. Plate has his hat on backwards. As a UIC, Trainer, and Evaluator this drives me crazy. Pet Peeve.

2. First call on bases goes to the base umpire. This is his call to make. If he needs help for a possible pulled foot he asks for it. If their is an appeal it goes to him and he determines if he wants to ask for help.

3. Plate should have stayed in 1st base extended to look for pulled foot then moved up the line for a possible throwback. He went up the line for the possible throwback and abandoned position for a possible pulled foot.

4. Plate was still moving trying to get back in a position to see a possible pulled foot. He was not set and didn't have a good angle.

5. Plate never takes his mask off which could obstruct his vision in some cases. Mask should be off on the crack of the bat.

6. Plate signals off the bag. This is not his call to For plate, he only gives his information to base if base asks for help or if there is an appeal and base comes to him for information. In the case that base immediately asks for help he verbalizes and signals his ruling. If an appeal it is a quiet discussion between umpires and only base can change the call.

Job poorly done by the plate umpire in this video.

Out bro the first basemen caught it and the runner was still running.

As an umpire I can say for a fact, good call blue! His foot was off the bag the only thing I would like to point out is that is the base umps call not the plate so unless he’s doing it solo he shouldn’t have made that call unless asked by his parter or by a coach asking him too take too his partner but if he’s solo good work! Good call!
