I personally think it's just a little easter egg or a reference to the mob characters. I don't think theres anything special about it just them paying respect to them, I mean they are stuck in there own personal hell loop dying over n over agian, and not knowing about it that's pretty shitty. But I think it's pretty cool tho it kinda has a dark feeling to it hard to explain how but feels like a fragment of another dimension leaking into our time line. that hat just has a really dark aura around it, a piece of forgotten history In the game. Four mobsters dying horrible deaths, over n over agian. There fate set, there lives forgotten in time they don't get a happy ending or a way to at least get redemption. Or they can't try agian they don't get to fully restart like the primis group

You more worried about this al hat, what about in bo4 has not moved no one has found what to do with it, plus one of the tomahawk handles, and a prison number? Which all disappear in custom game mode! BO3 it’s just a reference to old game or maybe a point to Botd but at least in bo3 you can wear it so why the heck you more worried about bo3, when botd still has the coin in brew, al hat, tomahawk handle with one of the mobs cell numbers
