I'm by no means an expert on anything, but ChatGPT is basically a very well practiced guessing machine. So, the mere fact that you're getting a different result from the Reddit post suggests that ChatGPT is just guessing based off of transposition ciphers that may have previously existed in it's training set (that's why you both have similar sentiments in the message but not the exact same words - a plaintext cipher like that will be deterministic aka it will always decrypt into the same letters). Maybe one of yall got the right decryption, but one of you is certainly wrong, which would suggest that you are both being misled by ChatGPT, especially since it has a well documented propensity to confidently being wrong. Hopefully I'm wrong though and we can unleash ChatGPT on some of the longer Rev cyphers.
