I just broke down and bought an air fryer. I didn’t want another appliance but OMG, life changing! I made veggies in it last night because I too love roasted veggies. The vegetables were done perfectly and I didn’t have to use my oven! Cuts the time in half and no heating up the house! Get one, Kate! You will love it! 😊

I’m moving to a smaller place! I’ll have a bump in cash outlay to begin with, but this will ultimately save me about $4000 each year for the next two years.

"Living below your means" adjust your lifestyle, be frugal, budget, save and invest. This helped me as a 6 figure earner. I've grown over a million in retirement savings with this method

We don't have an air fryer due to the same reason. It is handy, but its' bulky and if you don't have a big kitchen you would need to store it in the cupboard. Love going for walks and dancing around the house lols. We only shop once per week as well. Makes us use up what we have in the fridge/cupboard and leftovers. It's winter here in Australia so I am saving heaps of money as I am a hermit and hate the cold!

Saving money by getting the NY state parks pass. One time outlay gets me a year of beautiful state parks all across NY. From beaches to mountains. Being a tourist in my own state this year. So excited!

If you have a convection oven, it is basically the same thing as an air fryer. When you want to use it like an air fryer just have a rack on a sheet pan to hold the food(s) up off the pan to let the air circulate around the food(s)

I don’t have an air fryer. I have lived through so many kitchen gadget fads in my lifetime that I just shy away from them at this point. I have a stove, an oven, and my only cooking gadget at this point is an instant pot (because it’s three gadgets in one!).

Don’t waste ur money on an air fryer. It takes 2-3 times longer to cook and can fit a lot less food inside. I got one and used it for one meal and got rid of it. Get a grill and grill ur veggies! So delish and u can enjoy ur deck and beautiful weather!

You can roast a weeks worth of vegetables on the coolest day of the week and keep them in the fridge. I actually love the way they taste cold on a salad or in a pasta salad or in a pita or wrap

I got a Breville toaster oven several years ago and although it takes up a corner of counter space, it is very much worth it because I use it daily. It's not technically an air fryer but it does have the convection feature and I use it pretty much for everything from heating leftovers, cooking frozen pizza, baking, etc. The only time I use the "real oven" is when preparing for a large family gathering.

The air fryer is the most used appliance in my house. It replaced my toaster oven. I have a large one and I would go bigger if I could. I love the air fryer!

You look extra pretty today Kate ❤. Living on the Texas gulf coast AC is a must (people can literally die without it). We had to replace ours a couple years ago and our electricity bill has gone down because it is so much more efficient. Of course it was super expensive to purchase but I try to look on the bright side. Crockpot cooking is a good alternative to the oven. That’s the only gadget I have. I just don’t like cluttering up my kitchen with expensive gadgets.

Love our air fryer (Christmas gift from mom and dad!). I also don't have a big kitchen but found a home for it in the awkward corner cupboard. As much as I use it, I'm too cheap to buy one so definitely Christmas list. I add veggies to the bbq in the summer instead of roasting in the oven.

I got an air fryer for my last birthday (thanks, Mom!!) and I LOVE it! I am not into buying every kitchen gadget that comes down the pike, but the air fryer is pretty cool. Quicker cooking, multiple options on many of them, and less energy used....plus we eat a low fat diet and the air fryer helps.
I held out on the grocery pick up until a couple of weeks ago. We can't find many of the lower fat items that we want at our regular grocery store, so I have decided to do a low-fat haul once in a while to stock us from another store.
Free exercise--love it! We use a rebounder, which wasn't initially free...but we're getting a lot of use out of it and it runs on girl power. lol
One thing that I'm doing this summer to save money is something that I know you aren't personally into, lol.... I'm using our clothes lines--a lot. I just came in from hanging a load. We live in the country and we are home a lot, so it's practical for me to hang clothes in the morning, then gather and fold in the afternoon.
Another thing we do to save money is gather rain water. We have a huge garden and many beds and a polytunnel full of plants, so we use a lot of water. We also water poultry. We have a homemade catchment system using IBC totes and we also use rain water to flush toilets (IBS totes in our garage/basement...additional water line...RV water pump----so we're not filling toilets by hand or anything...). When we installed the rain water toilet flushing option, it cut our water bill significantly.
Happy summer!

By airing my home at night, I don't have use the air conditioning ( as much)
Cool drink's like cold water, homemade cooled tea (not to sweet makes you extra thirsty) iced coffee in flasks always come handy
Stop cooking when it's to hot, sandwich or store bought potato salade with canned or raw veggies do the trick
Boil a batch 6 or more eggs and use them on a sandwich, as eggsalade next to green salade or just as protein snack.
Wear thin cotton or linnen cloting layers (les sun cream/blok), not so hot so youre not so quick in buying a drink or ice-cream to cool down
Cucumber🥒 strawberry 🍓tomato 🍅appel🍏🫐🥕 contain water and wil hydrate you too, (to a certain extent) take them when you go out and about
Have a great summer!
