a little tip for the next time you do this: wet your hair all around and then put the shampoo in!! it’ll cover more of your hair and help with the staining if that’s what you’re trying to achieve!!

Fun fact: Shampoo strips the dirt and oils out of your hair and opens up the ridged 'growth sections' of your hair (I forget what they're called) but leaving it in for such a long time can make the hair brittle and dry :) I suggest lots of conditioner to close the hair back up again and replace oils

I used to get a lot of uneven patches when using purple shampoo, but recently I tried a different approach: thoroughly washing my hair first with normal/clarifying shampoo, and then work the purple shampoo into my hair and leave for 5-10 minutes before rinsing and conditioning. Basically prepping my hair like I would with semi-permanent hair dye (clean with no conditioner), except on wet hair instead of dry. Probably the most PERFECT diy silver hair I've had in a long time!!

For the next round, try this: divide your hair in sections, wet them just a little bit by spraying some water and apply the product with a comb. The slight moisture won't be enough for the shampoo to start bubbling, but should help you spreading it. Also, a nourrishing mask wouldn't hurt, since shampoo is too aggressive to be left on ❤ hope this helps
