I would only use purple shampoo once or twice a week, since it’s drying…..When I went blonde, I used purple shampoo every day because I figured it would keep the brassiness at bay but made my hair super dry and straw-like even when using leavins and oils.

Professional hair stylist here!
Either go back to your stylist and get it re-toned or go buy yourself a jar of Manic Panic Virgin Snow. It's a toning mask and I 100% recommend it to refresh cool toned blonds in between visits.

Professional cosmetologist here. You can absolutely get more results by leaving it on longer. Keep it on for 20-30 minutes, follow up with purple conditioner. We used to do this for our "blue ladies" (old ladies who would come in to get the yellow out of their hair but wanted it light blue). Once you get it to a tone you like, you don't have to keep it on so long, just use both purple shampoo & conditioner as normal.

I prefer the purple conditioner bc you can let it sit longer and the pigment is slightly stronger since there aren't detergents in the mix

Fudge have a really intense toning purple shampoo that doesn't dry your hair out. It is magic. I had a blonde stripe in my hair a while ago and after using it my hair was really silver. Best purple shampoo I've ever used.

I literally use purple shampoo every time I wash my bleached hair.
I use “ not your mothers blonde moment “ purple shampoo and it doesn’t dry out my hair at all.

Use shimmering lights, it’s cheaper and works better. My grandma used it for years. Always turned her hair from yellow to silver.

It can really dry out your hair, if you like to use it maintain your colour, use
It 1-2 times max and treatment once a week, I been bleaching my hair for 5-6 years and my hair is still soft, I don’t have much hair but it’s not dried.

When I had white hair I used to put on a purple mask and leave it on for two or three hours and then shower doing a normal shampoo, they always came out perfect (just don't leave it for longer than 3 hours because I saw a girl who left it overnight and her hair actually turned purple). Hope it helps <3

As a hair stylist my advice is to use a clarifying shampoo like the olaplex one to remove any buildup. Then, use the purple shampoo on your roots and mid lengths mostly, leave for 5 mins then apply on the ends and leave for however long. The ends are more porous and usually can suck up some purple tones more. You can also use a toning hair mask after if you still need more color deposit. If you’re really determined and daring, they even sell violet mousses and other violet leave in options.

Try putting it on your hair dry and leave it on for an hour or two, this will give a big boost of pigment to make a bigger difference!

Use a semi-permanent toner or toning conditioner, it will help and last longer than a purple shampoo. Also for stained marble, I put a bit of kaboom(with bleach) on that spot for 30 min. It will take the stain right out.

As a natural redhead who is extremely happy with my hair, I am so glad I won’t have to think about this to keep up a colour I’m happy with! Btw your hair slays tho❤️

I use the purple shampoo from fanola. I mix it with normal conditioner (I use jean&len) and then put it in towel dry hair for 20 min. My hair is never dry and I only have to use it once every 3-4 weeks, saves money and no damaged hair ☺️

just dye your hair purple, it fades to grey/silver and then fades back to the original hair color or dye your hair a dark blue, its more darker and you dont need to bleach that much

Purple shampoo makes whatever pigment or toner you put previously disappear faster. So yes it tones, but also strips, and makes your hair dry. I’d say tone once a week or whenever you feel you need too. And the longer the more ashy. But purple shampoo will only tone and dry hair, it never worked for me for some reason. I had that same hair color and my hair never toned down, it was weird for me
