That was a beautifully told story, and I commend you for your heart and resilience. Saved the guinea pig! Unfortunately, you all on the west coast are in for it again, and I’m frightened for everyone. I’m a life long Miamian, and it looks like we’ll dodge the bullet. I just keep donating money.

I know Madeira fishermen are tough souls, but man you really bring it front and center. I live in the area and usually can't tell a Mad Beach man something he hadn't had to deal with at sometime; live or die.. on the water. But damn, that's heart breaking 😢. Feel for you bro! Sad to say, it's scary but another is on the way, pray for us all! 10/06/2024

I am so grateful that this young man survived Helene. And he saved his sweet guinea pig too! Yes, he offers good advice. When the water is headed toward your house. Evacuate early, to a safer location. So sorry he had to go through it. Hope he finds safe housing soon. God bless him and all affected by the hurricanes.

Thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by this hurricane. Thank you for sharing your story. It was very moving and upsetting to listen to the events that unfolded.

I fondly remember holidays, staying down the road in TI, at either the Bilmar or Page Terrace, and going to Hubbard's marina to take a boat trip on Little Toot. Just wonderful times and heartbreaking to see the devastation to the area now.

Take care. Sending all our love from England ❤

Now we gotta watch out for another Hurricane that seems to be barreling directly towards Tampa from the West. They say it'll be another Cat 3 or 4, maybe even low Cat 5. First time a storm would originate off the coast of Mexico and go straight through Florida since the 19th century.
