Crazy. I got so mad earlier because my dog peed in the kitchen by the door. And here people lost their entire homes. Lord have mercy on us

From my experience working in post disaster scenarios it will take at least 10 years for the community to rebuild and recover fully from this storm. The trauma will likely last longer. I wish them all the best with building back a more resilient community. And I am not just sending hopes and prayers, will send support. I am also doing all I can to mitigate climate change and I urge everyone to assess their own climate impacts and do everything posible to reduce them, including demanding action from leaders in both the public and private sectors.

These poor people ...all foreign aid should be stopped until these storm victims are made whole again . How can we take care of (or bribe) other countries while ignoring our own people that are in trouble!

We always send our troops to other countries to help with stuff like this, give them millions of dollars. Where is Canada? Mexico? UN?

I've seen so many stories about the devastation the people suffering and it breaks my heart. But I've heard nothing about farm animals and only very few about saving any animals. Why?
