Entitlement (Red Flag #7)

Selfish, spoiled people have always existed, but it seems a lot more common now. I think growing up on a farm or crossing the Wild West gave people character, but watching spongebob with oreos and getting stimulus checks doesn't.

The fall of Rome happened the same way - The Romans grew rich and soft and lost their sense of responsibility. It was all about what more they could have, and not about how the strength of Rome came from them. We didn't learn anything. Well, I did.

Anyway. Here's a short video on what entitlement looks like and how to avoid it. They key is to look for people who talk a lot about what they want, but can't connect it to what they give back.

I’m a widower (4 yrs now) started dating a year ago and a single Dad I know all will be shocked to learn I am still required to pay plan and make time for a date. I hear single moms with 1 child continue to tell me how much harder they have it than me. They are getting child support and share custody. I have 3 wonderful children no break and no money from another. I have no complaints except having to listen to the women moan about a situation they caused

The thing about bottomless pits is that they can never be filled. Throw as much money, time, effort, and attention into these holes and they simply become entitled voids instead of ordinary ones.
