In this video, Dr. Anuradha Kapur, Director & Head of Unit at Max Hospital Panchsheel Park explains about polycystic ovary syndrome and its associated symptoms & treatments. PCOS or polycystic ovary syndrome is a prevalent endocrine disorder, which is found in women of reproductive age group, starting from their teenage years. According to Dr. Anuradha, the treatment of this disorder includes the lifestyle management which means that patient should be under low carbohydrate diet, high fiber diet and have a regular exercise program. If this treatment is not successful, then oral contraceptive pills could be taken. Dr. Anuradha also explains this disorder at different age cycles.
