The truth is that many players have simply ignored this feature because there is always the cost of removal in silver anyway. So everyone moves/removes builds once or twice in a month, when it's really necessary, and that's it.
If Plarium would totally remove the silver cost for removing artefacts and accessories, this game would become so much more fun... Just look at the other similar games. I hope one day they will either understand.

Hey Ash, first off this is one of the most helpful vids I've seen in a long while in this game. This is genius. I would appreciate a more in-depth view of which presets you build out, why, what area or situation you used them for, and the recommended stats. I'm using the HH optimizer to lock down some builds like the fastest, Def Nuker and etc. but I'm curious on the stoneskin builds and other niche things to get a baseline on how I should build my champs. Like I just got Alaz and seeing yours give me an image on how to build mine except I got subtract the +4 stats 😅but thank you for the great content and positive vibes, love the rage videos. I can relate lol and take care! looking forward to that video if you ever make it, or maybe posting your optimizer champs for dissection

I'm still in the first stage you describe: I have my best gear, such as it is, on the Champions I use most frequently. I'm building Champions, as you say, not gear sets.

I do understand what you're getting at, though, and I hope I'll get to the point where I have so much good gear that I can build sets that "float" between Champs, as needed. Channeling Aragorn, that day may come--but it is not THIS day!

I want to give you credit, though, Ash: you are always thinking, and I respect that creativity. And you have an encyclopedic knowledge of this game! When I fight in Classic Arena, I often don't even know who some of the opposing Champs are, much less what they do. And I always think, "If only Ash were here!" 😆

The problem is that champs have different base stats, some have built in boosted crit rate or other stat, they have different masteries too. Not to mention, some may be running with specific other champs you know will buff for them, thus changing gear minimums. All that to say, gear is less globally swappable than you make it seem, at least for optimal min/max.

Ash, keep going. One of the things I have been waiting on is a video from the gear's perspective. For instance, rather than starting with a new champ and learning his/her best gear... Make a video that STARTS with the gear set. So you have a Bolster HP set, and a Regen Resist, Savage/Cruel... that's great. We can build them too! But how about a video that starts with that set, show us how to build it, and then then give us a list of champions that could wear it. Start with what we have a lot of... Merciless, Protection, Stone Skin... The gear we got. Now tell us who should wear it.

Ya as soon that feature came out i have been abusing the heck out of it
i was having a hard time doing multiple hydra difficulties and then i would run one team, use the free gear removal tokens from sintranos to swap the best gear to my second hydra team so i could be able to do another difficulty.
I'm even utilizing it in Siege, defence and attack, after attacking twice i would not only lose those champion but also the gear, with that strategy my second team is as strong as my first and while defending if my 1st team gets taken down my second will be as strong and my 1st (stats wise)
Some DT hard stages and secret rooms, sintranos and the list goes on...
i always try do the most i can within one hour and swap back the gear to respective champions that i use on daily bases before the gear removal token expires so i dont waste silver

Talk about how ridiculous it is to say ancient shard farming is a thing...that's really not a thing. I've hard farmed every instance where they're featured, and have never gotten more than two per hundred multi battle run. It's like all the ways plarium says is f2p friendly...are only that as minimally as they can legally make it.

Don't forget the "fitting room" exists, too. You can try on the gear and save it as a preset before equipping it. This way you can plan a bunch of builds before finalizing who you're putting them on. (Of course, Ash can spare the cash for the silver to take that gear off of Tramaria when he needs it. ;P )

I can see where this will save time and keep things organized, I only switch gear when it is free to do so, but I keep getting better gear, it will be easy to switch pieces in sets to better gear this way, but the silver cost for switching gear makes the free gear removal worth the wait, it really sucks that when you sell old gear you do not get your silver back that you used to upgrade it, they really got us when it comes to silver

TIME is the limiting factor in raid in 2024.
I could use this feature more, but its honestly just waaay to much to keep track off. I already stuggle to keep in mind what options I actually have at hand for Siege. Raid has become so complex that one really has to choose, what to invest time and energy on.
Raid really can be played 24/7 at this point. Managing so many things champions, artifacts, events, teams and keeping an oversight over everything is something many just can´t afford since they have a life, family, job, responsibilities. It´s crazy.
Complexity really is a double edged sword, but without it we´d become bored and asking for more or what to do.
Humans really want to be busy, most people barely rest.

Funny you just brought this out. I was just talking about it with my clan that I still haven't used this feature at all. I know it would really help me out but thought it might be a little overwhelming. This was one of your best vids in a while. It helps out a lot.

Preset gear and the changes to the tavern are the best QoL changes they have made to the game. With the new feature of being able to equip gear from the artifact optimizer in game, you can rebuild your entire account in one day of free gear removal. I love this feature. I use it about the same way you do. I save global for sets and builds that i use on other champs. I make sure to s ave champ presets too. In case I change a build and screw it up. Great vid Ash. Sure the presets are nice but I refuse swapping gear all the time. I hate playing like that.

preset manager is only for whales. no possibility of a real f2p to use this. i never have enough silver

5:02 - if someone like Ash has to constantly move gear around then doesn't that say something about the storage and need for longer free regear periods? Why not make every weekend or Sunday free gear removal day? Would be simple and awesome
