- You're already lost, so doing something "crazy" is not a big deal
- The opponent will see an exposed king and begin salivating, searching for ways to attack it
- While attacking, opponent may forget to defend his own pieces or king
- The king itself is an effective offensive piece, able to restrict several squares from the enemy king with opposition

Today I, a 300s elo player, faced against a 500s elo player, literally lost all my pieces except my Pawn and my King which were left to go up against their 2 Bishops, their knight, and their Rook, I employed this tactical strategy for the first, and I somehow managed to get the enemy to blunder a stalemate despite having the overwhelming advantage.
