I used to explore abandoned places in Aurora and northern IL, about 20 years ago, for photography. Most of them were demolished soon after for subdivisions. The limestone buildings like that one were usually from the 1840's-50's.

The house and property are owned and maintained by Mr. Jesse Vera who retired from the City of Aurora years ago.
