Is this down south I never saw those footings just on top of the ground. We have to dig these 4’ deep holes with a sober tube or elephant foot to make sure the frost doesn’t heave them making the whole deck not structuraly sound. I’m moving down there just to get out of drilling holes with the auger 😂😂😂😂

But next time I would encourage you to connect the railing post to the deck band. Second install the load beams directly on top of the post with Simpson strong ties. Those braces would not be needed. Run the deck boards horizontal and wrap the front with Trex 1x12 fascia boards. Looks great!

That’s a lot of weight on those pier blocks. We would install footings for this size particularly in the corner closest to camera. The load is gonna sink those piers in a couple years and begin to compromise the structure slowly. That’s something that could be a long process so will likely be fine for a decade or two. Looks good overall though cheers brotha!

Why not make it a little taller and sloped so if you want to make a real roof out of it later you are ready to go ... 😂
