RIP Mr. Bourdain, thanks for letting Americans know Iran is awesome.

Persians are, by and large, some of the most generous, compassionate, AND passionate people I know. I have nothing but good things to say about them and I do hope to visit some day.

Iranian food is amazing! I loved being invited to my friend's house for dinner growing up. His mom, aunt, even grandmother all very busy in the kitchen! Everything is cooked with love and care. The different foods on the table have a wide range of flavors; they cross the spectrum of your taste buds! And their desserts are also fabulous- especially rice pudding! I am so happy I can watch this video over and over again! Now all I have to do is find a good Iranian restaurant here in the Washington area!

Iran is a beautiful country. I love Iran so much. There is no place like it in the world. I have been there 2 times in 2013 with a total time of 3 months. Iran has a magic a feeling about it. Trying to come up with a way to speak this feeling in words has been a challenge for me. But its a wonderful feeling. The food and the people are each amazing. I love the crunchy brown crust that comes with that rice. I could go on and on about beautiful Iran but I will finish now. Good work Anthony..

"How do you think most Americans will react when they see this?"
"They will start coming."

Dude... I've wanted to visit Iran for years. Theocracy aside, it's a beautiful country full of beautiful people.

Respect to Iran from Georgia. Very friendly people. we do have some slight similarities, we were a part of Safavid empire. And I have been to Isfahan a few times... and I gained weight each time.

Iran I must say looks awesome. The people homes look really beautiful and the real people seem very nice. Looks like a beautiful, historic place. Hope peace between Iran and USA in future. People have to learn to get along. Grew up with many Iranians in US. Very nice to me. Very genuine. It seems people suffer when governments dont get along.

This was a wonderful episode... I'm glad Tony did an episode here to expose us to the human stories of this place despite what we've been told as Americans. These folks are just like us, caught up in a complicated political history that we as Americans must acknowledge.

I am a guy who grew up in Texas with wonderful, loving Iranian neighbors and as a result I am fascinated with anything Persian. Iran has been at the top of my travel list for some time and I really would love to go there but I do wonder what kind of barriers my nationality and race (I'm white) would present if I am lucky enough to visit the country inshallah. Iranians have assured me that it would be fine, and I'm sure it would, but I still hope one day that the US and Iran become better friends than they are now so that I can go there with the same mindset as going somewhere like Italy or Australia.
