When you bleach your hair at home don’t forget to bring your hair’s ph back to normal and close the cuticle after. This can be done with a simple Apple cider vinegar rinse if you have nothing else. Also, I recommend protein fillers before during and after and avoid brushing your hair until it’s dry and do it delicately. Just rough dry your hair from roots to ends by shaking the blow dryer back n forth focusing at the roots until they are dry then go down the shaft, then put the hair in 2 braids with some oil or a few curling rods instead of braids if you are scared it’s damaged.

Also makes it worse when you brush damaged hair whilst wet.
Wet hair is its most vulnerable & fragile state. If your hair is super compromised, let it air dry and THEN brush it

Don’t brush it when wet because it’ll for sure tear apart, I blow dry my hair first before brushing it and even then I do it lightly

If you bleach your own hair, make sure you leave some space between the roots and hair and wait like 15-20 min. Then apply to the roots with the rest of the bleach still on. This is because the heat from the scalp makes it develop faster

I left my dye in too long and after rinsing off i was left with a huge hairy ball!!
I got so angry, i wanted to go bald! I couldn’t stand it. After listening to my long winded rant my mum helped me cut my hair as close to my nape as possible. Getting all the patchy lengths. A kind of compromise, since she always loved my long hair. And she didnt want to cut it any shorter.❤❤

Im 13 and I bleached my hair by myself recently with no experience. I left the bleach on my hair for a really long time (about an hour and a half?) And it started to burn so bad. My baby hairs were so white. It was a pretty scary experience but other than that, I still liked how it turned out. Make sure you get supervision from someone who knows how to bleach hair!!!!

I bleach my hair at home then apply a dye over the bleach after a day.
1. Test strand. Check after 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes until u reach the level u want. When it feels like elastic abandon the idea altogether and see a hairstylist.

2. Do not put bleach on already bleached hair, just the regrowth.

3. Avoid the roots until the end because they process fast due to the heat from the scalp.

4. Keep a cloth close. Wipe bleach of the first strand u bleached after the required time, then each one/two minutes wipe a strand.

5. Do not brush bleached hair when wet.

6. You can not achieve the desired color with just bleach you need a toner after to get there.

I am no expert, but from experience i learned 😅

I’m not a hair stylist, and I’ve never bleached, dyed, or highlighted my hair, but I think your supposed to do a test strand to make sure that the bleach, dye, etc is like okay for your hair

It’s fine don’t worry, it will grow back in no time and you still look good but I prefer you maybe keep your hair up so it looks a little better

I do not recommend bleaching your hair at home. It could cause a lot of damage to your hair because you are not a professional. And bleaching is permanently stripping the color from your hair so I think it’s worth some money to get it done professionally and safely at a salon. However, I totally recommend dying your hair using boxed dyes but make sure you read the instructions carefully and do research on the brand 😉 have fun with your colorful hair!!
