What’s rlly wild is Robb was only 17. Still only a young man and he was the king of the north (till he broke his promise to the freys)

Robb could’ve become an absolute master tactician had he survived and grown up

It shattered me to see his fate at the Red Wedding because that "Boy" could LEAD. He won EVERY single battle he fought.

Uh, letting that scout go was actually the smartest thing he'd done in the show. He let the scout go, telling him 20, 000 northerners were coming for Tywin. So, Tywin readied his entire army. But, Robb tricked the scout and took his army to Riverrun instead to liberate it and captured Jamie Lannister in the process. If Robb made more smart moves like that instead of dumb ones. He'd still be alive and King Of The North.

Its funny because great Jon becomes one of robbs most trusted allies later on, he was the first one to proclaim him king in the north.

The entire story revolves around the consequences of Love. "The things we do for Love". Jamie for Cersei, Robb for Talisa, John Snow for Ygritte, Tyrion for Shae. Renly even claimed the throne and divided the Baratheans just listening to Loras.

Book Robb was truly King in the North. He was so smart as a commander, he was just and he was Ruthless when he had to be. Yet he had the same weakness as his father, his virtue. Both Ned and Robb fell victim to underestimating their enemies because of their own honor, thinking others would hold themselves to the same standard.

Robb Stark's mistake was trying to fight an honorable war against dishonorable men. Well, that and going to dinner at the Frey's house.

I think the worst thing Robb did was bring his mother along. She was too close to it and couldn’t separate her need with having her children back with winning the war. Should’ve just left her behind or told her to shut up lol

Some people in these comments are confused. This scene is NOT when Robb sends Theon with a message of alliance for his father Balon. This scene is when Robb lets the Lannister scout go & tells the scout to pass the message that 20, 000 northerners are marching south to see if he really shits gold!

I hate how everyone thinks Robb was “incompetent” for not letting his entire camp know every single one of his moves…. It just shows how incompetent THEY would b in such situation… the guys had a member of the richest house in his custody… he cant trust ANYONE 1000% in such situation… shit his OWN MOTHER betray him… then his strongest “ally” in the north betrays him… do you now see why Robb was constantly praying that his men would listen to his exact plans so that his “master” plan(s) could work… example of this is why Edmure(hated how they made him a 🤡 cause hes not in the books..). But that scene was a prime example of this.. anyways to wrap this “book” up… Robb Stark was an EXCELLENT leader, n if it weren’t for his own mother’s betrayal…( Cat got Ned killed “u can trust This makes more sense in the books cause in the books littlefinger isnt known as a “snake” hes known as a nice, reliable guy..) regardless then she is an actual MORON and frees Jamie.. total incompetence on his own mothers part.. then his own men betray him.. not jus the boltons but the Carstarks betray him as well.. truly sad to see such a great leader(wouldve been an excellent King IMO… i think Robb would have the perfect mix of Miyamoto, Machiavelli, and his own father Ned Stark to become one of the best kings whoeva lived…..

END RANT😂

The thing I love most about Robb is how he’s a total expectations subversion for the stereotypical “prince meets princess and they fall in love and live happily ever after” trope. At first glance that’s exactly how it appears with the woman he falls in love with, only for the show to totally go the opposite direction and have it end with one of the most gut wrenching mass character deaths scenes in television. Robb will always be one of my favorite characters, not only for his badassery throughout the series but for how he actually paid for his mistakes and didn’t end up just living happily in the end.

I’m rewatching the show and this was the exact moment that was playing when I opened this

Just realized this foreshadows Robb’s tendency to not reveal plans with even his most trusted advisors.

It’s the Stone Mill all over again, it just went right this time.

Looks around, reads the room, grunts off in defeat and hurt pride but Robb wins his respect.

I love Jon's voice and cadence. He commands respect and power with his very voice

Ser Rodrick could rival Walter White with that “think about your next words carefully” stare

Love is the death of duty is the epitome of Robb. He was a military super Saiyan....until he fell in love with a nurse. Every decision after that ended with fail after fail and eventual betrayal
