Jon does feel resentment towards Robb. There is no way he wouldn't. He also loves Robb, looks up to him, cares about him because he is his brother. Jon is a complicated character. His emotions are complicated too.

That’s what’s great about Jon. Despite his youth, he has his resentments, but when trouble comes for House Stark, his first instinct is to ride to his brothers defence, and family’s protection.
He always wanted to be Lord of WF … but when he gets the chance at not only that but the opportunity to be legitimised as a Stark (his most fervent dream) … he passes on it cause as he says:
“WF belongs to my sister, Sansa”.
Dude was all about family, to the bitter end, riding off to save his little sister.
He made his mistakes, learning as he went, but no one in CB that number among Jon’s contemporaries had half the long term vision he had.

I always loved that one Jon chapter in SoS when he tells Mance why he really wants to join the wildlings. “Did you see where they put the bastard?”

Didnt the later part of first book remind you that Jon clearly loves Robb? He was ready to leave NW and join him in the war as a deserter even

Rob: you know nothing Jon Snow

Jon didn’t resent Rob for those comments, he felt guilty about making them. Jon had nothing but adoration for Rob in the books. At no point does he have negative thoughts about him.

This is true but not true at the same time. its definitely not resentment, more-so envy.

I wouldn't say he didn't hold Robb in high regard. They clearly loved each other. Jon was still just insecure about being a bastard and was jealous over the fact he didn't feel like he belonged. People are complex, and you can abaolutely have conflicting emotions about people. As for the scene in AGOT, I don't think he was thinking objectively. He was jealous that he had to stay behind while Robb had a beautiful princess smitten with him and hanging on his every word. I think Jon had a habit of taking his insecurities out on other people until the Night's Watch had to discipline tbat thinking out of him. He wasn't Theon who was friends with the Stark kids but kept them at an emotional arm's length. Jon and Robb thought of each other as brothers, and I don't think any desire for recognition and acceptance on Jon's part would have ever compelled him to turn on Robb like Theon did.

Jon loved Robb very much and was sad when he had to leave for the wall. That thought about Myrcella was out of affection, not malice. He thought of him as a brother, a rival, and a best friend.

Honestly a little resentment is expected in some sibiling relationships especially if you know one kid is favored more than the other 😅

You need to make it louder I think. But I'm loving every video :)

You should consider mixing your voice a little higher because it's very low in the video. It's very nice of you to include subtitles though 👍

Most of the time you give good summaries but this one is misleading. It is true that Robb and Jon had, while growing up, their problems. But they worked it out and had a strong brotherly relationship when Jon left for Castle Black. The only sibling that was rather cold and distant towards Jon was Sansa, always calling him „half-brother“ and her being generally elitist and influenced by her mothers resentment for Jon.
Actually, as far as it goes for Bastards, Jon had a decent life with the Starks. Especially compared to how others treated illegitimate children. Still a heavy cross to burden in a medieval society though. His experiences with the Nights Watch humbled Jon and made him from a boy into a man.

Jon loved Robb so much that he was 100% going to break his vows to the watch and risk literal decapitation to help him with his war. Never once does he ever think resentful or hateful things about him if anything the situation where they were playing when they were young and Robb said that only made Jon realize how much hate Kat had towards him not that he hated Robb for saying it
