Soooo many people here overthinking themselves into confusion about “what is a capo for and how to use it.”

Problem: “The song is supposed to be played in the Key of F.” Or: “WTF!? This song has F and Bb chords? I can’t play those barre chords!”

Answer: Put a capo at the 3rd fret and pretend you’re playing in Key of D.

Now apply that trick to other groups of chords you can’t cope with.

Problem: I can’t sing that song. It’s too high/low.

Answer: Use a capo to select a spot on the neck to where you can sing the song with the chords they show (because you don’t know how to transpose the chords).

To Complicated for a beginner, You would have to be able to play pretty well before you did any of this. So you need to say "This is not for beginner Guitar players". But other wise very good. The guy below me who has been playing for 50 years. (????0
