Are people really gonna die on this show? If so were like half way to hunger games than.

They better not let Less Stroud be a contender. This is just survivor man with a prize at the end.

Last man standing wins 500k pre tax (gotta read the fine print)

This is what Les Stroud has been doing for YEARS (w.o the competition part) alone by himself with his own cameras. Les was one of the only real/not fake survivalists out there that actually taught normal ppl how to survive unlike Bear Grylls lol. This looks like a good show nonetheless though =)

Wasn’t there a show like this but a horror vision

I pretty sure what they mean is that if they don't wanna continue they call in the crew to pick them up.

It's called acting. I am pretty sure everything is rehearsed before they start the show . No one is alone when someone is making a show.

I will live in woods forever for 500k that buys a lot of survival gear and no prob stabbing a cougar in heart. Have come face-to-face with one on a trail in Maine. She stopped and sat down so I did the same. we were staring at each other for 10 seconds and she got up and walked away but . Bear dif story way harder to fend off
I did wake up with one outside of Big Sur sniffing at me while I slept under the stars was the size of a Volkswagen beetle lol she got bored and left me alone though.

Somewhat disappointed in the "survivalist" who tap out who spent all their making yard rakes, chairs, dream catchers, instruments, while shelter was a tarp and long term food forage and storage wasn't even a serious survivilist thought.

Season 1 is just completely unsafe. The first guy to leave had bears circling his tent. Wild animals all over circling contestants. Without a gun or bow for protection that is a big nope for me.

Season 8 seemed safer. Wild animals around but not as many as season 1, so that the contestants are being circled.

This is foolishness.

Would love for there to be a version for women to do this. It's actually my Dad's favourite show, looks a bit too cold for me but hey I grew up in Winnipeg, right Niel Young?

A fan of this show but one thing is bothering me. It says no contact or camera crews and the participants use motion activated cameras themselves. Presumably the cameras run on batteries so how do they charge batteries. Even if they had a stock of batteries rechargables lose their power quite quickly, so how do they charge them?

You're not alone if you talk to a camera
