He is clearly dealing with his past and his feelings for his father, isolation and solitude can bring clarity.

Eskimos have been living like this for millennia, in the coldest of cold. My family comes from King Island, AK. Lived on stilt houses on a 90° angle. My family was intelligent and a strong people's. My father Simon Pushruk was in the army, he was a great hunter, ivory carver, a man of the silver screen, and the best father you could ever ask for ❤

Thought this guy would be one of the last 3 with a strong start. He has the knowledge passed from family and has lived the life. Once I seen him start building a cabin, I knew he would be gone in no time.

Lee was my top pick. I had him winning, because he knows how to survive. But once I seen him investing more into shelter than into fishing, forging, and hunting i knew my top pick was going to fall out. And he was so thin and didn't add any fat on before joining. I mean, I wish I had his shape at 47, but a thin man trying to lift multiple 100lbs logs will take a drain on you without any food for energy.

He was my favorite to win based on skills, and knowledge of the lands. I luv the home made rod.

In comparison with his competitors, Lee had the most knowledge and experience, especially for that type of cold climate. His liabilities were his age (59) and that he was lean going in, and that's what got him.

Lee is so smart and has incredible skills. The fishing was just bad in his spot, otherwise he really could have gone so much further. That shelter was a bit over the top but wow, would I have ever LOVED to see him in it over the winter. He would have been living large!! Sorry to see him go. When he built that raft it was so simple but I honestly was amazed.

Did he set any rabbit snares because they didn't show any - but what a cabin - the energy involved in that and I ask why he didn't start building sooner? I think he just got a bum part of the river or the fish are out deeper. Didn't look like there was much food for anything in that location. Admirable 💯‼️

I lived in the Alaskan Brooks Range 152 miles north of the beginning of the artic Circle for 4 months a year for 5 years and mainly subsisted on fish and Moose

Being set apart in isolation you face yourself. If you have trauma or anything unresolved it will display it head and sometimes it's not pleasant. I know Lee and his brother's, he's a good guy.

Great shelter! Good job man. Being hungry, I mean going without food for 3 days is brutal. Been there and it ain't good.

He’s a cool person. He can still do well with his own channel if he has one

Thing about the shelter is that is makes for good TV, paints you as a capable individual, and is fun to make. So it's easy to get carried away with it

Goes to show that you can have the skills, but if you cant get food, its game over.
