Hank Williams jr. once said, A country boy can survive....So I'm testing out my survival skills to see if I could stay alive in the wilderness by myself!

"Hey, is that a turd?" -- Many moons ago, while a very young teen, I went hiking/fishing with my friend and his dad. Along the creek's trail we got thirsty and since Dad was carrying the pack, we had to ask for water. "Heck, boys, just get it from the stream. It's nature!" We revolted, so he gave us a demonstration. What we kept a secret for the rest of his life--some 40 more years--was the fact there was a dead, bloated nutria about five feet upstream from where Wally Wilderness was demonstrating his ability to 'drink the pure water of nature.' These vids crack me up!

Country Folks can survive. Im from NC we burn trash, tires, and the yard to kill ticks. Im now living in PNW, it wet in the early spring and summer. I save dyer lint stuff it in toilet paper roll and use it fire starter and moss dried up on logs everywhere here is good for starter when everything is wet in the forest. Love it in Oregon beautiful camping get your backwoods on.
