I just wanted to say that this recipe works! I have had two parties now, where the few who *could* tell that it was vegetarian weren’t bothered by it. It was just “walnutty” good. Others, who were not vegetarian, said that this was so good they wanted seconds! Best of all, what was left could safely go in the refrigerator the next morning! No animal fat = no refrigeration = no problem.

This recipe has in fact fooled some of my friends into thinking it was meant-based. I’ve made this 3 times. I recommend cooking the beans longer than you think.

I made this for my vegan friend and as a meat eater, this tastes SO good! I didn’t have white wine so I used apple cider vinegar instead and it worked for me. I didn’t add the balsamic vinegar because I didn’t want to add to much vinegar. Super good!!! Thank you!

Just made this and its fantastic. Im trying to add more meat free meals to my diet but I wont compromise on taste, so if I try out a veggie recipe and it isnt amazing, it doesnt make the cut. This spag bol is great and I'll definitely be adding it to my list of favourite veggie dishes. Thank you. (I used red wine and added 1/2 a zucchini to the food processor as well. I had it over buckwheat pasta.
