HOW TO FINISH WOOD, VINY FLOORING IN KITCHENS & BATH AROUND CABINETS TIPS & TRICKS FOR BEGINNERS DIY

Wood, vinyl laminate flooring in kitchen and around cabinets in kitchens and bathrooms. This is one of my oldest tricks and I've used it hundreds of times. I actually use the flooring to cover the existing toe kicks and eliminate the need for quarter round or additional molding. I like to wait till the end of the installation so I can use scraps and not waste whole boards. I hope you find this useful and it helps you.

Oscillating tool would probably work fine! BUT NOT if you are gonna use it daily as an installer!! It WILL probably fall apart with HEAVY use! lol

This is great! I’m about to redo my kitchen flooring with vinyl tiles and I had someone mention this concept to me regarding the toe kicks but was having a hard time visualizing it- not enough info given. It wasn’t until I saw your video that I finally got the gist of it. I’m going to keep watching because I think you covered vinyl floorings as well. Much obliged!

Hey Tim got a question how would i cut the floor if the toe kick is only 2inches high. they do not want an overlay or remove cabinets.

Did you start laying the floor first by the cabinets?

Can you put the floor down first and cabinets on top the flooring? If not why do they put cabinets first?
