The new Citroën C4 stands for an energetic and self-assured appearance:
● A high and distinctive bonnet ,
● A front section that takes up the new Citroën design language: V-shaped light signature, headlights arranged in two rows and the chrome-plated double angle that extends over the the entire width of the vehicle,
● A look that sets the scene with the Citroën LED Vision technology, consisting of LED daytime running lights, three steering LED headlights on each side of the vehicle and LED fog lights.

The rear end gives the vehicle dynamism, robustness and offers a generous trunk volume (380 l).
With the sloping rear window, the aerodynamic rear spoiler and the lights, which are connected by a glossy black panel, the new Citroën C4 stands out from the crowd with its unique design and introduces the new V-shaped LED light signature.

The silhouette is characterized by a raised, expressive body shape and aerodynamic, flowing lines. They give the new Citroën C4 a powerful and independent appearance.

The short front and rear overhangs in combination with wheels with a large diameter (690 mm) and a groundbreaking ground clearance of 156 mm ensure a raised and expressive stature, which symbolizes a posture ready to jump.

● 7 body colors: Banquise-White, Obsidia-Black, Acier-Gray, Platinium-Gray, Elixir-Red, Caramel-Brown and Iceland-Blue.
● 5 style packages : Glossy Black, Metallic Sand, Textured Gray, Anodised Deep Red and Anodised Blue, the latter being offered exclusively for the new Citroën ë-C4 100% Ëlectric.
● 5 interior ambiences with warm materials and clear or livelier colors: the standard ambience and 4 ambiences in conjunction with the Advanced Comfort seats: Metropolitan Gray, Metropolitan Blue, Hype Black and Hype Red.

The new Citroën C4 is equipped with the Advanced Comfort suspension, which compensates for minor unevenness in the road surface and absorbs rough shocks. The vehicle glides over the ground while maintaining the excellent stability of the body and the extraordinary dynamics. You benefit from superior comfort on board the new Citroën C4.

As an exclusive innovation from Citroën, the Advanced Comfort seats offer the following features: Comfortable foam with a thickness of 15 mm, which allows a soft seat with good support from the first contact, High-density foam for optimal comfort: better damping of vibrations, no sinking and long lifetime.

The new Citroën C4 combines compact exterior dimensions in order to maintain the agility required in everyday life, with a spacious interior and excellent knee room (198 mm) in the rear.

Ease of use is a top priority in the new Citroën C4: Up to 20 technologies and intuitive driving aids make everyday automotive life easier, including 6 connectivity technologies.

The new Citroën C4 is equipped with the Advanced Comfort suspension, which guarantees a superior comfort and an effect of gliding, from which well-being on board, dynamism and driving pleasure benefit equally.

Its principle of operation is simple. The Advanced Comfort suspension also offers two hydraulic stops for extension and compression. Depending on the load, the suspension works differently:

During strong compression and rebound, the spring and shock absorber work together with the hydraulic stops, which progressively slow down the movement in order to avoid abrupt stops at the end of the spring travel. The hydraulic stop absorbs the stored energy and dissipates it. This means that the energy is not returned to the chassis, and the passengers are perfectly shielded from the bumps in the road.

The new Citroën C4 is positioned at the heart of the segment with a generous trunk with a volume of 380 liters that is easy to use.
A two-position floor allows the trunk to be subdivided and a flat trunk floor to be used when the rear seat is folded down. It can be kept in an inclined position to make it easier to load the trunk.

The high and wide center console was designed with as many storage compartments as possible in mind:

● A charging zone for mobile devices to easily store and charge a smartphone,
● 2 USB ports ,
● A large storage area in front of the console with a flap for Subdivision,
● A storage compartment in front of the gearshift lever for storing various small items,
● A large central storage compartment with blackout blind that contains two cup holders,
● A spacious storage compartment under the sliding armrest between the front seats.

This is the best in-depth review/overview of the new C4 I could find on youtube. I am getting this car and you showed everything i couldn't see on the test model i drove (electrically controlled seats for example). Now i actually like the car even more.

Great review as always 😊. Love the look of the car, very different which is great.

Does anyone know, are the rear signal lights bulbs in the UK or LED? It seems very odd why all other lights on the car are LED and not rear signals. Maybe as it was brand new 2021 its now changed on newer models 🤔🤔🤔

Wasn't sure about this design at first but I have appreciated it for being different and it has grown on me, it's so not German unlike some of the very bland designs from VAG, Skoda, Seat etc. It's also nicer than it's Peugeot relatives, looking forward to a review of the new C5. Quality appears much improved over previous Citroens, depreciation would be my only concern as Citroens don't do well in that area.

At the moment I have a brand new peugeot 208 of 2020 (you can see same peugeot 208 2020 on the background, red too), but I have to change my car for a new one every 9k miles, so I've booked a new citroen c4, island blue of 2021. Not GTI, but hopefully I'll have a sat nav in the car too.
I use to have citroen c3 a year ago, and it had a sat nav.

I am almost certain that the UK 2022 version doesn't have a lot of these features.
Especially the Driving modes. 😕

I have a question, do the rear windows go all the way down? Or does some of the glass stick out? If you don't remember no problem but thought I would ask.

I rented this model for 11 days in France.
The visibility out the back window is absolutely appauling.
In fact, I cannot imagine how this model passed the most basic safety checks.
You skim over this problem in your review, but I think it should really be emphasized more.

The back window is very narrow (vertically) and you get to see a very narrow sliver of the road through the rear mirror.
Moreover, the two head rests on the back seats hide even more of the road behind, especially when they are extended for an average height person.
Luckily I had no passengers in the back seat so I just removed the head rests completely.
(this was not so simple, by the way. I had to fold the back seats forwards to do this because the top of the head rest is so close to the roof of the car).
And if all this was not enough, the fancy rear spoiler creates a blind horizontal line just below the middle of the window.
When travelling on the highway this lined up perfectly with the headlights of the car behind me, so, for instance I could usually not see if the car behind me was flashing its lights at me.
Someone might say that this was intentional - to avoid blinding by other car's headlights, but I would doubt that very much.

My conclusion was that this car is simply not safe to drive.
