I streamed on Twitch for a few years until my pc broke. Now that I’m back up n running again and I’ve revamped my overall quality I’m going to go the YouTube route. Private test streams have gone well. Best of luck to anyone else taking on their goals this year!

I recently started streaming on both Twitch and YouTube as a 48 years old dad and must say your videos are key to success. I’ll be rewatching your videos to better my channels for viewers and of course a little bit of 💰 lol

Thanks for the advice!
I been making gaming related content for a little while on YouTube but my computer decided to fail on me, now that I am somewhat back up and running I been streaming, creating videos and reviving my blog (all gaming related)

I tried Twitch for a short while to test it out and while it felt like people found my content faster, it also felt like I was moving extreamly slowly forward the goals they set, while YouTube won't have that same discoverability, once you get going on YouTube I found and seen that it goes much faster forward with views, subscribers, comments and so on.

Hey Curry, really appreciate the insights..this was super helpful! My first stream is happening this Saturday, and since I don’t have a proper video capture card yet, I’ll just be using the PS5 camera to start on YouTube Live and see how it goes. It’s not a big deal for the first time, but in the future, I’ll definitely use OBS as you suggested.
I’ve already set up most of the things I need…now I’m just waiting for a second monitor, and once that’s in place, I’ll be good to go. I decided to start with YouTube Live because it has a broader reach..you’ve got shorts, long-form content, and live streaming all in one place, which makes it a great starting point. Eventually, I plan to start streaming on Twitch too, but only after I complete my setup with the extra screen and capture card.

Thanks again for your input..it really helped!❤

I became monetized on youtube through travel/storytelling but my passion is gaming & live sports so im planning to pivot to twitch streaming & use my existing subscriber base to jump over to twitch & I can always livestream on both platforms 😁

This is fire bro thank you. I just started twitch stream. Say once you get monetized on YouTube do you still get paid for prior vids?

Solid info, but in my case, my internet can't handle multi streaming. So i stuck with twitch for live streaming and yt and tiktok for uploaded content with only 9 hrs streaming per week

So they could also like I have it I start very small but I only use a TV for streaming and the ps5 and a microphone which was very cheap and somehow to make a good setup out of it

Do you need a powerful computer/tower to stream on YouTube? I generally stream on twitch and edit down the vods to make shorts. Been grinding my gaming content for about a year and I’m at 435 followers. I think I tried to stream on YT off the bat but I was having issues with the stream
