I’d say it’s harder to get big as just a streamer. Mainly just because twitches recommended system is terrible. If not non existent. Ya gotta have a mix.

Be a youtuber before streaming bc that way you have a built in audience.

I’ve been streaming since 2015 and almost at 900. It is for sure a grind but I’m not stopping. I have a story to tell when I’m on top!

Streaming is 100% more difficult once you start streaming you realize how entertaining you actually are without post editing I say build an audience on YouTube then bring them to twitch

I think it depends on content that you do. Best advice is do something that you enjoy watching and get inspiration on it. There os no need to get complicated about other stuff like editing, software etc. Just upload content that you are willing to share and you know everyone can enjoy. Treat it like something that you can share to a family member or friends. And if it goes viral, then you have idea and foundation to build up your channel. Regardless if you stream and posting yt videos.

Everything is a grind and the important part is ensuring you don't give up on any dream you have.

You can literally just play a game and stream it vs playing the same game for the same amount of time but spending 8 to 10 hours editing it a good way

I’d probably go streamer here as coming from experience it can be difficult to be able to do things like count sub count or any of that stuff especially if you stream on console also for small streamers it’s harder be able to manage school/work having a nice life for example spending time with family and streaming 5+ hours a day this is my opinion if you don’t agree I apologize please don’t hate

Twitch is prob harder, u have to be on all the time, it’s not like u can edit what u do or say out, so u always have to keep it in the back of ur mind. Yt on the other hand if ur recording n u say sum fucked up shit u can edit it out. Just my opinion btw

I'm a new streamer.
Definitely a lot involved in streaming.
To upload a video a week on YT I can do the editing anytime in the week from footage but with streaming you have to YT and keep to your live schedule. its wild sometimes.

Let alone handling all the plugins and socials on top.

I got respect for both, I think they both take an insane hustle. Maybe a different kind, but it’s a hustle either way. And one’s easier than the other at some thing and vice versa. Streaming like scarra said once you get somewhere you can autopilot it but the hard part is getting ANYONE to watch your stream starting out. Meanwhile posting full on videos that are up forever….you get noticed and views easier cuz people can watch it whenever and therefore also choose to subscribe whenever. It’s just a different hustle but they’re both a hustle

I genuinely prefer streaming, but that’s just because I hate editing, I don’t really care if I get big while streaming, but I’d love to get up to 1000 average views per stream in like a year or two

both are difficult to make it far but if you are only doing one of them twitch is miles harder there isn’t anyway for people to find your streams unless they are scrolling all the way down to the bottom of the page but if you do both your streams are your footage then you just edit the parts you want and the youtube can help boost your twitch

I do it all and still barely get followers other than tik Tok and shorts. I guess I need better video editing and planning. After a few years it's exhausting.

streaming is way harder to get big in. youtube you can get lucky and have 1 video just pop tf off to start your career. streaming you don't just have 1 stream just pop off. as for the content aspect, youtube is way harder if you're doing it solo. all the editing and post-production stuff you need to do in order to make it appealing to the average viewer is much harder than hitting the go live button and just sending it.

Beautiful video. I thought it was a joke because of the title, but instead it was a serious, honest take on the feeling of starting out with no following yet putting in all this endless effort. Thanks for making this. I guess i gotta stream until mr beast sees me LOL.

i just started streaming a couple weeks ago and it seems impossible to grow, it seems like in order to get noticed you already have to be popular.
