I Wasted 2 Years in the Gym — Don’t Make These Mistakes

I’ve been lifting for 5 years. And honestly? I wasted at least 2 of them doing things that looked like hard work… but were actually holding me back.

I followed the wrong people. I trained like someone on steroids. I avoided cardio. I thought I was doing everything right — until I hit a wall. No progress, no energy, and no clue what I was doing wrong.

If you’re just starting out, or even if you’ve been lifting a while and feel stuck — this video is everything I wish someone told me on day one. It could literally save you years of frustration.

I think these are worldwide issues. I'm from Saud Arabia, training for 3 years, and seriously social media ruined our progress with their shity advices.
Thanks for your honesty.
Great video

Don't overcomplicate it. I look great and I've never counted a set or a rep. I never work my biceps and traps, but I have great biceps and traps because I work my back and do cleans. Skip all the isolation work and focus on the big lifts...and do heavy loaded carries every workout. I've been at this for years and I can honestly say I've just been "wingin it" and definitely look like I lift.

It's my understanding that you're just not supposed to do high intensity cardio on the same day that you lift. It's ok to walk 5 miles on a lift day, but it's better not to run 5 miles on a lift day. I think that's what they say.

Theoretically, though, high intensity cardio can burn muscle, so I think it's important that you have enough carbs so that you use glycogen instead of the protiens in your muscle tissue. Walking is ok because at a lower heart rate, you burn fat not muscle. High intensity cardio takes you out of fat burning mode, which, once you run out of sugar, forces your body to resort to burning muscle. Something like that.
