Just found your channel and I subscribed 😎 Born and raised in Michigan my whole life, until 5 years ago. I had my Sasquatch sighting in northern Michigan, just outside a little town called Atlanta, where I lived for years.

I'm from the Cadillac area. The Dogman legend is talked about commonly. When i was a young boy we lived in the woods on about 30 aches across from an older couple that had several hundred. They were pretty quiet and kept to themselves mostly. One summer night in the late 80s, I was about 12-13, they fired off several rifle shots into the woods from their house. Something they would never do. My dad went over and they claimed to had shot at a large wolf that was standing up.. no not kidding. My Dad didn't tell me the truth about what happened until I was in my 20s.

I went to the road by Ann Arbor as a teen and it was terrifying. My radio wouldn’t turn off or change stations and we saw headlights coming straight at us that just disappeared right before they reached us. I drove away so fast.

Hiking in the porcupine mountains there was a 2 day period of nothing, no birds squirrels deer anything but a terrible smell worse than roadkill. Musty af and just spooky with that feeling of always being watched. I couldn't sleep for more than 15 minutes at a time. I wasn't alone but it was just ominous, we all don't agree on wth it was.

I was stationed in Hawaii with 5 absolutely awesome people from Michigan, back in the late 80's. Two of the guys were like hanging out with the highest high you could ever feel, incredibly magnetic personalities, you'd actually feel a little down when they weren't around. Another guy showed me his long haired picture before his military haircut and I swore up and down that he was Eddie Van Halen's exact twin, if ever there was any conspiracy, he would find it and point it out, if he wasn't complaining about something his jaw was probably broken! Another guy was about 5' I owe you 1, but his heart was 1000 times bigger than he was. The last was an older lady, my mechanic counterpart, she was like a mother to everybody, had that type of personality, she cared about all her friends. One night in the quad parking lot after a few drinks, one of them fell right to the ground for no reason, saying that the devil was coming for them, that satan's hand was coming out of the ground and holding them down, they couldn't move or get up. Now back then I was more of a skeptic towards religious and things of paranormal nature, although I did believe in a higher power and I did see spirits when I was about 7 years old, but still looking for that one experience that would convince me completely. Well I tried to calm my friend down and tell them nothing was holding them down. When I stooped down to grab their wrists and help them up, I started pulling, but oddly enough, there shoulders weren't even coming away from the pavement, so I pulled even harder, still not moving. I got to the point that I knew if I pulled any harder, there arms would've popped out of the sockets, so I stopped. My friend weighed about 98 pounds soaking wet, but it defied the laws of physics, there was something physically holding them down. I was dumbfounded. Then I decided to try something different, just to see if I was imagining things, I wrapped my hands around there ankles and tried to pull them across the pavement. I couldn't even lift there feet off the ground!! I thought omg, what the hell is going on? Were they telling the truth and there was some demonic force holding them down? Well I didn't like seeing my friend in this condition and seeing how they were being affected, freaking out, so I thought quickly and decided to believe them and go with something more along the lines of the current situation, I did the sign of the cross over my friend and heard a low bass guttural growl and then blessed myself and started pulling on there arms and praying any prayer I could remember from my childhood. After hearing that growl, I knew I was going up against something out of my league so was more aggressive, more preachy, more biblical with my praying. About halfway through the second prayer there body pulled away from the ground in an instant and right to there feet, not from my pulling tho, there body just raised up to there feet like a board being lifted to a standing position and I wasn't bracing there feet either. After catching our breath, my friend said we need to get the hell away from here. My friend made me swear to never tell anybody about what had happened, and I never did till now. Well I think 37 years is long enough silence. At least it will be documented somewhere. I did go back the next day and examine the area around my car and noticed that just an oval area between the cars was slightly darker, nothing else, I blamed it on someone's car having an odd oil leak.

Mellon heads in Alegan County. My wife told me about them when we were walking in the woods where this legend takes place.
