I'm very excited for this, everyone who knows me knows I love a good video game, and you guys all know I love creepy stories - this video is gonna be a match made in heaven. Video games as we know them have been around for about 50 years - not too long, but enough time for some very creepy stories to emerge about them. It turns out that games can be haunted, games can be more creepy that you can imagine, some games have even caused terrible events and curses to happen in real life. You need to know what to watch out for before its too late. My name is Danny Burke and this is the Top 10 Video Game Urban Legends.

When I was younger I had an Xbox original, I never turned it off at night and I basically just listened to it. I thought it was funny. Now that I think about it the whispers it played are super freaky, I still have the Xbox but I never turn it on.

Oh god I remember first hearing about Herobrine a few years ago. People were posting creepypasta's of it everywhere and I'd watched all of them. Eventually I was too scared to even play in a single-player world alone. And whenever one of those scary sounds played when you were in a cave I immediately quit the game.

When I was little my parents friend brought the Pokémon game and when they reach lavender town I heard the frequency and started crying. They had to turn it off because supposedly I was freaking out too much. I don’t really know what happened afterwards but my parents agreed no more video games till I’m older.

When Polybius was mentioned that freaked me out because it reminded me of something I found in roblox. One of my favorite games there is Flee The Facility and one time when I was playing it I noticed that behind the building where you start in when you get into the game theres a whole and when you crawl in there's a maze (forward, right, up, left, up, left, and left again I think) you will fall into a dark room with a light shining only on 3 arcade machines and the one in the middle is- you guessed it. Polybius. I never understood what the purpose of that was but now seeing that game on this list and knowing that I've seen it before gives me a bit of the creeps.

It's called "Hall of Tortured Souls" because the people tortured themselves be making it, and it's probably a jab at the workplace being "torture".
