After a half-century, STILL America's greatest vocal group.

If they'd only released this song and Twelve Thirty it would've been more than enough to make them immortal.

That group was more than the sum of it's members. Just pure magic when singing together.

This is my favourite of all Mamas and Papas songs.  I have spent years singing it in the bath.  It makes me sad now.

Why can't there be music like this anymore? I want a new hippie revolution!

Exquisite. My first breakup at 18 I sat and listened to this song after school over and over. So sad and so beautiful. We did get back together but I had been crushed and dated other boys until my ❤ healed. No one has ever written such a beautiful song. Thank you John and Denny and the mamas.

Hearing " Dancing Bear ", I'm reminded once again, of what vould have been, had John Phillips not destroyed himself with drugs. Both he & Brian Wilson were forever casualties of their drug & smoking habits. is such a gorgeous, hauntingly beautiful song. '66. 76 y/o

The harmonies are brilliant, the music is beautiful, and the lyrics are spot on...I think we've all been there.

Their best song - and that's saying a lot since they made some fantastic songs. But this one hits home personally and is simply beautiful in every aspect. Definitely their best!!!

The more I am subjected to todays "music" the more I want to crawl back to bands like this when music actually meant something really good for growth.

denny Doherty, one of the most underrated male tenors of the 20th century. His voice was a cross between Paul McCartney & Roger McGuinn.

The harmonizing plus that string line always gets me.

REAL strings on the backing track, excellent harmonies. Just perfect!

Mama Cass’s background voice vibrates and rises to a unique harmonic and hangs for a moment like a spurned lover unable to let go—at 1:26-1:35 and again at 2:01-2:10—making this song the ageless jewel it is

I suffered the breakup of my second love in 1972. I was 18 and every emotion at that age is amplified. I listened to "Look through my window" over and over. It's a beautiful song . Sadness and breakups can happen at any age. John Phillips lyrics are spot on to how I felt for a short time....
