Michelle Phillips is the only surviving member left sadly.

It still hurts to know that Cass Eliot has been gone for fifty years or so. She was a remarkable person inside and out.

Mama Cass was the heart and voice of the group, you can tell they're nothing without her.

Seeing Denny sing beautifully and being happy on stage is an unearthly joy and burst of tears at the same time.

They had to have 3 back-up singers to make up for Cass’s voice.

This video is so sad yet so amazing... It's really interesting to hear them perform it so long after they first did the song, but there's such a big void without Cass. I wish she had the chance to live a longer life.

I’m 54 and love this group. RIP to mama Cass, Denny and Papa John.

Even 30 odd years after the original recording still sounds good, not the same without Mama Cass She had the real power in the group.

Enjoyable performance. But I really miss Moma Cass and her powerful voice. I'm 74
now and often remember that summer (1966) when this song was everywhere. Brings
back good memories.

I love them since I was 12, now I’m 69 and I still love them. My favorite song forever is and will be California Dreaming.

The flute solo is pure gold. So glad he went over to her and put his arm around her.

That flute is what brought this whole production together! It wouldn’t be what it is without this!

This song transcends location, time, race, genre. I'm continents away and I remember this being played on the radio by my mom when I was kid in the 80s. Still haunts me to this day. I miss the time I never had with her.

Very few songs can make you feel and this is definitely a great example. PAPA Denny's delivery is full of hope while still trying to convince someone else the grass will be greener elsewhere (California) while the haunting harmonies of Michelle, Cass and John almost warn us that this may all be fleeting or be careful what you wish for. Seeing in retrospect how fleeting Mama's and Pappas time together was and how it all ended makes this song hit even harder.
