Nikon Z50 II | A Compact Camera with More Power than You Think!

We got a chance to try the new Nikon Z50 II, which, even with its compact size and APS-C sensor, packs a punch with a powerful processor and lots of features like 11fps mechanical, pre-capture mode, and picture control, to name a few. Seth shot it at our studio here at Adorama (42 West 18th St., New York, NY) to give you examples of what this tiny guy is capable of.

This was a lot of fun to try out definitely a leap from the previous z50. It’s a good time for those starting out. It’s a capable tool for those looking to grow with their kit. And it’s a great option to add to an existing higher end kit if you need an extra camera with out forking out top end pricing for an extra body . I’m into it 🤷‍♂️

thing with Z50 II is the fun. I bought it as smaller hike camera. And now question my notions about fullframe and stuff. If one wants just do photography, this one delivers while being easy, and fun to use.

Ricci mentioned pairing it with a 400mm f.4.5 lens for bird photography now that it has bird detection autofocus, which even the Z6iii does not have. I want Nikon to make my Zf compatible with that new remote shutter release cable! and they really owe to Z6iii shooters to give them bird detection in an update.

Can the pop up flash act as commander ?

As a beginer, I have gotten most of my items off of the secondhand market. I have the Lumix G95 with the 25mm and 45-150mm. Before I start buying more, I am looking to settle in a brand. I have used Nikon in the past. I really like the photos and video coming out of the G95. My question is should I stay with Lumix and buy the G9ii or go ahead and switch to Nikon? I think this is a comparable to the G9ii. Thanks again.

Hey! First off, thanks for your video. I am new to photography and have been looking through black Friday sales, while trying to learn and understand what I want from my first camera. I Was hoping you, or someone in the comments, can clarify using lenses across the Nikon platform. I initially decided I wanted a full frame camera, and am uncertain if the lenses I purchase for this camera would translate to a full frame Nikon down the line? It could make sense for me to spend less on this camera to learn with now, while building out future kit once I become more skilled. Sorry if this is redundant.
