This is a crop sensor beginners legend. People dont even know what value they are getting with this camera. Its a Better d500 for wildlife too with the new autofocus and expeed 7 and it does 4k 10bit NLOG video too! Great value for money.

As my first Nikon I am truly content with this camera with auto focus that sticks like Velcro especially on a birds eyes and built like a tank, sorry Sony. I've already purchased a total of 5 lenses and its amazing even in video. The 2 kit zoom lenses have stabilization built in. I got amazing in focus video of Canadian geese flying overhead. I bought this Nikon because a camera repair shop fixing my Lumix camera told me Nikon built the most rugged cameras and Im so glad I listened to him and gave Nikon a try. No more regrets.

I already love my z50.
The updated processor will only make the camera better. Plus the old z50 could be a B-roll or secondary camera. 😊

This might be the one that makes me tap into Nikon Mirrorless. I’ve shot with Nikon DSLR for over 10 years, starting with the D5100 and then upgrading to the D780 as a sort of dip into the Nikon world of video. I got a little Sony camera for vlogging and I’m not a fan. I love Nikon’s system and their glass so I was looking at the Z30 but i feel like the Z50ii might be the winner!

I guess some folks ordered straight from Nikon already, but I’m waiting for my distributor who will have them next week!
This camera has a great sensor, originally used in the D500, with which I have taken some of my most crystal clear images. And now a flagship processor from their most desirable cameras, which make the focus second to none.

I purchased this camera and a used 200-500mm to try out its wildlife capabilities mostly due to the prerelease function. The prerelease work very nice other than it limits you to jpegs at normal setting. I was hoping it could give my Olympus om-1 with the 40-150mm 2.8 with 2x tc for a simular fov between the two 160-600mm on the Olympus an 300-750mm on the Nikon a run for it’s money. Both systems are 20mp sensors. I was hoping the Nikon would do better than it did and it wasn’t bad but it still didn’t match the oly setup. Which was a bit shocking to tell the truth. I will have to do some more testing. I will be keeping the Nikon for other stuff but it won’t be replacing my oly system for wildlife. I may rent the 180-600 Nikon native z mount to see how that one does. I do think this z50 II is a great new camera for its price point. I just wish it didn’t limit the files to normal jpeg when using prerelease function. Kudos to Nikon on this release

I shoot a Z9, but I picked a Z50ii the Day it was released, up for a friend of mine, who has been using my D200 for the past 6 months. He really likes the Z50ii, and I was impressed by how many of the Z9 features are in it. It is no Z9, but it does give Good Results.
