Lighter skin provided an advantage as humans migrated into areas with less sunlight.

As a dark skinned individual i am going to say that guy had a few screws loose. Light skin in natural in cold climatea and dark in warmer climates there is no one skin tone that is natural for all the humans living around the world.

a lot of brown societies actually value fair and light skin. Olive and dark tan skin is the norm. While black skin and white skin are oddities, both are beautiful and should not be spoken of like this. They should all exist

I mean in a way he's right because with evolutionary theory we came from Africa with dark skin and then it became white overtime when people moved to colder and less sunny climates

Differences in phenotype developed because of the mass migration of different chunks of the populations of the world to different continents. Each continent has a variety of different climates and so each individual group living there has a given number of phenotypes. For example the Germanic people largely lived in Northern Europe yet they originated from the Eurasian steppe. So over thousands of years human groups had adapted their bodies to their given climate. Phenotypes with less melanin are found more commonly in regions with lower sunlight and less heat and this is because the Melanin would serve no purpose there.

I mean. Technically hes correct? Were from africa, dark skin came first and when brown skin ppl moved to europe they developed white skin...

So in a way hes correct But in darwinistic terms it's simply an adaptation that favors the natural selection process. Being able to absorb vitamin d for the sun

There's always wacky arguments made around skin tone. Anybody who doesn't look Add it through a simple evolutionary process is going to Miss A lot of the picture.

Also saying that humans it's Mary people who make up for their deficiencies sounds like a interesting take but I think it's no more than simple pop psychology
