I don't think waiting an extra few years at 30 tells you *who you are*. I think you learn that in various relationships. People don't need to wait longer to marry, they need to date for marriage. Stop sleeping with your dating partner and spend that time and energy actually DATING. Talk about important things right up front. Immediately. If they aren't a match, kindly move on.

Spend more time learning about character traits worth admiring such as honesty, charity- not just in money but in grace and service to others, humility, humor in rough situations, their relationship with their parents, etc. You are spending all the dates where you figure that stuff out on sex.

You don't need two more years, you need to date with more intention.

Good advice...and ALWAYS live with your partner before committing to marriage so you know what you're in for in reality when you sign the dotted line making it far more difficult to leave later legally. Be sure. This was the best advice my parents gave me and I have followed that to a tee without regret otherwise I really would have married the wrong person I reckon.
