Hydraulic auger is so nice when building fencing. What a time and effort saver and cuts through those tree roots. Hope you stay hydrated in the heat. Take it easy. No heat exhaustion! It’s been really hot all over this year.

The hard times are real right now with this drought. You and yours do take good care of your animals as many farmers do what you gotta do. Fingers are crossed for Big Joe and many babies this year

Good luck with test results on Big Joe next week. The herd looks good right now. Fencing in 99 degree weather is no joke- stay cool! stay hydrated! Glad you purchased that pipe earlier, anticipating future fencing needs.

I keep praying that OK and TX get rain soon.. The southern Piedmont of NC has finally gotten rain. I’ve had about 8-9” since July 1. Hopefully Big Joe is only suffering from heat and you get good test results. You be careful working alone.

Sure am praying for rain for all of us here in Texas and Oklahoma. Seeing the cracks in the ground and everything drying up, is so sad. Keeping fingers crossed that Big Joe is still fertile and that next year brings lots of Red Dogs to the herds. Thinking about y'all, stay cool and safe out there.

The weather in Sulphur looks miserable.
I respectfully request all us CTB YouTube followers donate some cash to help Dusty and his family. They give us so much, some cash could help them out during this drought.
I never hear this man complaining but he always shares his life with us. We can show him our appreciation and show our bison some love.

I’ve been praying for rain also. I feel so bad for animals, wildlife and stock life, fields that bring food for us all, the trees of the forests, the birds too - they will be flying to better places to feed n water. I am sad to see part of my yard beginning to show too much hot sun baring down. Food for all will be scarce. So those with gardens, chickens n beef and preserving these items will surely be fortunate. My faith is strong..we must stand firm on God’s promises. He will take care of us. 🙏🙏🙏 Dusty, could it be that some of the females haven’t come into heat? I think it’s the heat with bison here in this drought and humidity. Has that fertile happened in Yellowstone as it gets very cold in winter there.

I can’t imagine how hard this drought is for you and the bison …. hoping you get some rain soon to alleviate some of the difficultly. As always, enjoy seeing all the different jobs you’re doing . Hopefully Big Joe is just suffering from the heat and will get the job done !!

I have camped in a tent at Yellowstone. With a herd of bison in our camp ground . We had cows, calves, and bulls right there. Woke up Next morning got out of tent to find a large bull sleeping right be hind our tent. That was awsome. And yes they were all wild bison

Dusty, you’re in a very sad state of affairs right now. I have never had to deal with those kind of hardships, but my grandparents and some aunts and uncles surely have. I remember drought’s that they went through, when so many farmers had to sell their cattle at rock bottom prices; It was so difficult. I remember a couple of years when they were ( farming in Nebraska) days away from harvesting corn, and another year harvesting hay, and were hit by huge hail, which pounded their crops down into the ground. My grandpa broke down sobbing. It was heartbreaking.
My prayers are with you and your family. I know that God has a path through every darkness.
Thanks for keeping us up to date 🙏.

If big Joe is low or shooting blanks, put him and Elenor in a separate pen as life mates! Big Joe is just too sweet!

Living in Pittsburgh has never made me feel guilty about cloudy and rainy days before ....but it does now! Chin up, Bible open, and prayers from everywhere! You and yours are in mine.
