I don't care what anybody says. If you're a fan of baseball, this was a game for the ages. First ever leadoff home run in a World Series Game 7. Incredible back and forth game. David Ross taking Andrew Miller deep in his last game. Rajai Davis with his highlight bomb to tie the game, watching that ball sail into your TV with an amazing camera shot. And of course it had to go to extra innings. This game crystallizes baseball in its purest form. It was a test of wills, of who wanted it more. From start to finish this was entertaining as hell to watch.

Don't let anybody tell you that baseball is boring ever again.

Its one thing to see World Series highlights of the past, then it another thing to actually watch history in the making. Even if you weren't a Cubs or Indians fan you were glued to the screen the whole game. Without a doubt it was one of the greatest games in baseball history.

The rain which caused the rain delay was the collective tears of the millions of Cubs fans no longer with us. :(

It must have been, because I honestly believe if not for that rain delay, the Cubs might not have pulled it off? Not that it matters ... they did! And that is as they say, is that. #FlyTheW

Back here again over 4 years later. 2021 season opener is 2 weeks from the time I'm writing this.

I remember jokingly telling one of my classmates that Fowler would hit a leadoff home run, and then I watched it happen as I sat down with my plate of spaghetti.

I remember shaking my head after the 2 run wild pitch after Hendricks was pulled and Lester came into the game with Ross. But then Ross homered and I was happy again. I remember where I was standing watching this with my family when Davis hit the game tying homer. I felt physically sick, like I was actually going to throw up. I felt triumphant in the top of the 9th when Fowler lined the ball back up the middle only for Lindor to crush my spirit and throw him out.

The rain delay was kind of a blur for me but I was back in front of the TV when the game resumed. I was ecstatic when the Cubs regained the lead and took the game to the bottom of the 10th. Davis played hero again and I was getting nervous. But then it was over, and as soon as it happened I looked at my dad and gave him one of the biggest hugs ever. That is a night I will never forget as long as I live. Rollercoaster of emotions.
