He waited 61 years to see the Cubs win a World Series and I’m so happy I got to witness It with him for the first time In years I saw my Dad tear up In Joy that he finally got to see his Cubbies win a World Series. He passed away 2 years later and I miss him everyday watching the Cubs without him hasn’t been the same.

and World War 1 had yet to happen.
