My 84 year old grandfather got to see this months before he passed. He was a huge fan of the cubs.

I'm a spoiled Yankees fan but I will say nobody deserved a World Series more than the Cubs and their amazing fans

I'm not even a Cubs fan, but highkey this might be one of the greatest moments in sports history. 108 years is a hell of a curse to break in such a comeback fashion.

I remember when they won, and they had a parade on Friday, everyone skipped school to literally attend this and it was crazy man ! whole city was packed and never seen anything like that.

My grandfather was at Game 7 of the World Series when they lost in 1945; I wish he had lived to see this.

Seeing the old elderly people celebrating really warmed my heart. You know they been waiting the longest

As a Cleveland Indians fan, it was definitely one of the most saddest moments of my life but it was also the best world series I ever watched and as for you cub fans, you definitely deserved it after a hundred years I was proud of both teams 😓🙂👍🏻⚾️

My 40 year old mom never saw them win a World Series... she passed away in 2013... this game's for you mom!

Rest In Peace mom!

So every time I see this I cry about her... she was a Cubs fan, but never got to see them win it all... well mom, your prayers and dreams have been answered... may you rest in peace!

The truest of all the Cubs fans smiled from the heavens that night with the simple words spoken. The Cubbies win. He believed when no one else did. Quite sad that he passed before seeing them win it all. RIP Harry. You can rest peacefully now.

I was rooting for the Cubs.

But I would never, NEVER claim to be a Cubs FAN. Because that would demean the people who waited 108 years for their Cubs to win a World Series, the fans who were born, lived, and died without ever seeing the Cubs win a World Series. I have immense respect for every true Cubs fan. Especially for the ones who waited, 20, 30, 40, 50 years or more, and remained steadfast fans. I don't think any of you stopped believing after the Indians took a 3-1 lead in the series. I did. I thought the Cubs were out of it.

Obviously... I was wrong.

The guy running through his living room was exactly what I did. I ran around screaming, then I ran crying into my wife's arms. I called my brother after I stopped crying. Was 50 years of waiting worth it? You bet your life it was!! In my head all I could hear was Harry. "CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!"

I remember I had to work on that night at the restaurant. Me and my fellow Cubs fans sneaking looks at the game from one of our cell phones, rushing to close up for the night(thankfully it wasn't too busy, we weren't a sports bar), driving home listening to the game on the radio. I made it home just in time for the final inning. For a Cubs family like mine, it was a magical moment.

Nearly four years later this still makes me cry just as much as I did when it happened.

Coming from a Red Sox fan, this still gives me chills, seeing everyone react for the Cubs first title in over 100yrs, brings back those memories for our first win since 1918, we knew that feeling all too well before 2004, you guys definitely deserved that win and hope to see more in the future! Congrats again 5yrs later!
