I was at a friends house this night and was about to leave. I looked at my phone and saw the Cubbies were in the 9th and about to win the pennant. I asked them to turn the game on and stayed and watched history.

I'm far from being a Cubbies fan but man! I cried for this organization and it's fans (TEARS OF HAPPINESS) when this double play was turned, one of the ABSOLUTE greatest outs/plays EVER, to end a championship series.... A body chills moment for sure

I'm so happy for all of you Cubs fans! I'm a New Yorker but always loved the Cubs and always wanted to see them win the World Series! No other team deserved it more then they did! I wish I could have been there in Chicago for all the celebrating into the wee hours of the morning last week and for the parade but sadly I can't afford a plane ticket. Enjoy the moment cause you'll never know when they'll win again! R.I.P. 1908 & Billie Goat Curse. The Cubs are now World Series Champions! GO CUBS GO!

it was very fitting how they won the Pennant / World Series. This was a double play combo from Russell to Baez to Rizzo. then in the World Series, it was a ground ball to Bryant to Rizzo. All showing off their young core of hopefully great things to come. All those guys, plus others, are under team control until 2020.
