I do believe that you are the chief lore master for lord of the rings on YouTube. Congratulations.

Eru Illuvitar was like "sing this song with me" and melkor was like "u can't tell me what to do dad" and manwe was like "bro stop" and melkor was like "YOURE NOT EVEN MY REAL BRO YOU'RE JUST MY BRO IN ILLUVITAR'S MIND" and then Illuvitar was like "ok we're done all of you go to your earth"

I really enjoy the thought that a universe could come to be from a song, music is so powerful. Perhaps our own world being spoken into existence is its own kind of song.

Tolkien taking the Old Testament and Greek Myths into one story. Great telling, it's so nice to hear it read from the books rather than hear people speak only from the films. Love this channel!

"The first war inside time"
I loved that line

There's something so profoundly beautiful about a world created through the power of music. I've always cherished Ainulindalë, it's so compellingly written in such a poetic and mystical way; it's as though you're reading a sacred text (arguably, you _are_ 😆). C'est magnifique.
Brilliant video as always my man, you never miss.

I read all the books many years ago, I am 55 now, what I find astonishing is that the cast that Peter Jackson assembled, fit so perfectly with the vision of these characters, which I saw
in my minds eye, when I read the books as a teenager. We all will play a part in bringing the balance back. Surprised you didn't quote Illuvatars' response to Melkors' music.
Every time I watch the Fellowship of the Ring and I see Frodo stand up amidst the shouting and chaos, and say "I will take it, I will take the ring to Mordor" tears come to my eyes,
even writing this and thinking about, is bringing a tear. Wow can Tolkien write a story or what! Of course I had to wait quite a while to finally have the privilege to read the Silmarillion.
Magnum Opus Indeed.

I have always thought each "section" of the song corresponds to the ages of middle earth. The breaks are always after a huge discordant part of the song which matched the battles at the end of each age. Only the 4th age was unsung and the all of the players in first three ages left middle earth for the age of men. The final age was Iluvitar's creation alone, the age of men.

This is by far my favorite story in the Lord of the Rings Universe. I am so glad that you covered it. Maybe next you can cover the different sources of light, the great lamps, the trees and the sun & moon. You could even discuss the creation of the stars and the silmarillions.

Some of the Ainur are like inspired by Greek Mythology.
Manwe - Zeus (king and god of the sky)
Ulmo - Poseidon (god of the seas)
Mandos - Hades (god of the dead)
Varda - Asteria (goddess of the stars)
Yavanna - Demeter (goddess of harvest and agriculture)
Aule - Hephaestus (god of fire and forges)
Tulkas - Ares (god of war)
Irmo - Morpheus (god of dreams
Arien - Apollo (god of the sun)
Tillion - Artemis (goddess of the moon and the hunt)
Vana - Persephone (the goddess of spring)
Vaire - the Fates/Moirai
Orome - Orion (the great hunter)
Este - Asclepius (god of healing)

and so on...

Dagor Dagorath is undoubtedly based on Ragnarök (Norse mythology), it shares a LOT of comparisons.
Although I didn't learn much from this video, I highly enjoyed it.

Imagine a movie in modern day middle Earth. The end of times. An epic involving the Valar.

Tolkien cosmogony is amongst the Very Best Out There. I have this feeling it contains powerful hidden truths about ourselves and our existence. The man was a Genius. Great video!

You had totally made me picture the grandeur and cosmic level of the songs as the first time I held in my hands and begun the reading of The Silmarillion. You put so much heart on your depictions I can't do anything else but to held my eyes on the screen and start seen beyond to what you're describing... I really love your videos.

Keep the lore being spreaded!
