Iroh is a walking Beast man. He is definetly the strongest non avatar character and can be put on par with avatars without the avatar state. Man in his prime effortlessly brought down the wall of ba sing se😂😂 Proceeded to LITERALLY bulldoze through an entire army of the most skilled fire benders in the series WITHOUT his bending😭

As much as we all gotta love Iroh, and as much of a beast as he is, Zaheer ultimately beat a, albeit weakened, avatar state korra because of flight, his sheer mobility and effective range would probably let him chip iroh away. Lightning could be a lethal option, but idk if iroh can produce it fast enough for him to not be interrupted, or for Zaheer to just avoid it. Depending on the environment iroh could also be able to get into a position to limit Zaheer mobility, but that’s just extra stuff, and Zaheer is also prob smart enough to get caught off guard by something like that.

Zaheer is way more durable. :/
He took like a 100ft fall onto earth and took glancing blows from the Avatar State. Iroh got one shot by Azula from a normal firebending move.


Why not give durability to the old man that has never once shown he can take a hit?

Sry but we never really saw iroh in a real fight with someone that matters on the show… he just took azula by surprise sometimes, and kicked some side character ass, but I don’t think he can win against someone like zaheer who has no mercy, maybe in his prime, but in this old age, zaheer would just fly around and destroy iroh
