The professor died of pure happiness. He got exactly what he wanted and lived a full life learning everything he could about the world.

The earth queen was slowly suffocated as the literal air inside her lungs was pulled out by force. Amon and tarlok double suicide via explosion. They're brothers and amon knows tarlok is gonna blow them up and could easily stop him with blood bending but lets him bc he knows he's a monster that should die. I think these two deaths are easily some of the worst ones in the series.

Respect to Roku's dragon. It could have easily flown away there or at least tried to, instead it tried to shield his friend.

Katara wasn’t there when her mom died, she ran out of the tent to find her dad

Earth queen and P'Li deserve to be on this list, those deaths were savage. also Ming hua should be higher, her whole death was watched on screen, the electorcutuion, the screams the body hitting the rocks and being lifelessly pushed aside by waves.. in a kids show.

The one that shocked me the most was the combustion bender lady. When she suddenly gets the metal wrapped around her head and she blew up her own head like black bolt in doctor strange multiverse

I would put Jet on this list too. I have no idea how he survived to speak before everyone left, but he must have had massive internal bleeding before he died.

I like to think the spirit owl began to like the professor and probably kept him alive with food and whatnot so he probably died with a head full of knowledge at like 80-90 lol

Pyroclastic flow is a lot, lot hotter than an oven. Their temperatures range between 300 and 800 °C, or 572 and 1472 °F. In a geology course I followed at uni, during the chapter on volcanoes, we were told about the tragedy that happened on an Island near Japan (if I remember proprely) a few decades ago. From what I've heard, half an hour after the flow had stopped, numerous people were found, still alive, no skin left, screaming in agony.

Roku's death was by far the most gruesome if you know about that. It must be one of the most excruciating deaths possible.

Personally I like to believe that Won Shi Ton recognized that the professor wasn’t part of the Avatar’s gang and only wanted to learn… It’s entirely possible that he did live out his days down there and died of natural causes surrounded by books.

After all, there’s no indications of a struggle or a particularly violent end, in fact it looks like he was at peace… It’s probable he didn’t survive long without food or oxygen, but I mean it was a library created by spirit magic so anything is possible.

I think P'Li getting sufficated with metal by Lin and Suyin, Tarrlok committing suicide to kill his own brother, and He who shale not be named getting his heart frozen by Kiyoshi (that one probably hurt the most ngl) are just as bad as some of the ones on your list. Oh and special tributes to fire lord Azulon

I thought Kya died by like, being stabbed or something similar. I think if she had been burned or died via fire, Katara would have severe PTSD around any type of flame or would've freaked out more when Aang burned her (or at least Sokka would've thrown extreme hands)

Woah...I did NOT expect to learn so much today.

He didn't actually do the act in front of Katara, as her mom sends her out. And I don't think it was from infection, due to the fact that Katara even says, "when I came back, that man was gone...and so was she", meaning her mother was already dead when she abd her dad got there. Not saying it wasn't gruesome, painful for Kya, and also scarring for a little girl to see her mother that way; just that it wasn't from infection or the injuries from the fire.
