Horror fans have been keeping their eye to the movie and I am here to say this is the smartest horror film of the year

Reluctantly, 17-year-old Gretchen leaves her American home
to live with her father, who has just moved into a resort in the
German Alps with his new family. Arriving at their future residence, they are greeted by Mr. König, her father's boss,
who takes an inexplicable interest in Gretchen's mute
half-sister Alma. Something doesn't seem right in this
tranquil vacation paradise. Gretchen is plagued by strange
noises and bloody visions until she discovers a shocking secret
that also concerns her own family.

A Film by Tilman Singer
Starring Hunter Schafer, Dan Stevens, Jessica Henwick

It's a strange coincidence that Cuckoo comes out after Longlegs where Nicolas Cage said "cuckoo".

Love the review! Totally agree, Dan is our SCREAM KING -- have loved him since THE GUEST.

Solid review! I actually struggled with the story and script. Maybe that was with the editing, but I do agree this needed one or two more lines to explain some things. I don't know if I would call this new or fresh. There are two other horror movies that I instantly thought of once I realized what was going on in this movie. All-in-all, I did have a fun time watching it and it is one I'll watch again. Maybe after a second watch I'll pick up more on how some things connect!

I hate the way you say Hunter Schafer. Its not Chef Ter. Its Shay Fur. I think. Thats how others say it though. At least you got her pronouns right though so that's cool.
