Why does car insurance cost so much in Michigan?

Flint Michigan had half a pipeline built to Lake Huron never finished then look what happened! All that place does is ruined morale!

Get rid of the 'no fault' for one thing. Go back to regular insurance coverage like dang near every other state.

Also, while not insurance quit penalizing people for driving newer vehicles when it comes to license plate fees!!!

The rates are so high in Michigan that it has finally got to the point where it is a runaway train where people drop It altogether because they simply need to eat!

The rates are also so high because it is not based on the actual skills of the individual driver themselves, but rather everyone has their money thrown into a giant pot where it all gets mixed in! Lawyers then see this and go nuts and I do not need to go there, but yeah they get paid big bucks because all of the money is lumped together and so they are only human at that point and corruption is simply hard to avoid looking at all of that money lumped altogether in one giant pile gives Lawyers the illusion there is a lot of It. Totally no corruption going on there!

Good driving habits, the record of the driver, and how many actual possible accidents that were completely avoided because the driver is skilled, seems to not matter in Michigan because everyone is treated the same and this is not fair, but yet it is what it is. It is why they are so high!

The rates then keep going up and up and up for everyone *even* if they are not part of the group that is at fault!....and then the 'snowball effect', theory kicks in when this happens and as we know a giant boulder of snow has a lot of mass and is hard to stop from rolling if not impossible!

Note: most Michigan drivers pay more in insurance payments toward their vehicles in a year than what their vehicle is even worth per year! Thanks for reading my rant!

Yup indeed its definitely rooted in racist ideologies and price gouging with the insurance companies. I have zero accodents or tickets moving here from Texas and im being outright denied insurance or given quotes of over a thousand a month for a 20 year old economy car. Its outright impossible to pay or were only going ti the corner offices for registration. Stare probably makes a mint on re-registration alone.
